As this summer trickles to an end, the boredom is rushing in. No more projects to work on, you’ve basically done everything you can think of. You’ve gone on all your trips already, and you feel like you’re losing your mind! Here are some unique and really fun things to keep you occupied.
-Go Trick or Treating
I know this sounds crazy but it’s super fun. Dress up in costumes with your friends, and go trick or treating in your neighborhood. If anyone asks you why you are trick or treating in August, just say you thought it was Halloween, and act confused/ disappointed. You usually get very interesting things because most people don’t have candy on them.
This is one of my favorite things to do when i’m bored. But, sometimes I don’t have all the ingredients. An easy way to do this is to pretend you’re on a scavenger hunt and type up a list of everything you need, and go door to door asking if anyone has the ingredients (ex. An egg, chocolate chips, baking powder, or vanilla extract). Make sure you don’t tell them it’s for cookies. You can do this with anything you want to make or bake.
-Pretend to be a Foreigner in any Public Place
Pretty self explanatory, but basically dress up in different clothes than you usually do, practice an accent, and go to a park, restaurant, or grocery store. Act very confused, and pretend not to know the language the are speaking. If you don’t know what to do just say nevermind or walk away like you’re at the wrong place.
-TP your sister’s room
Don’t be afraid to prank your siblings when they aren’t around. There are many things you can do, but an easy one is TPing it. If you don’t know what that is, basically you throw toilet paper everywhere. If you don’t want to waste toilet paper, you can make a fort or cover their room in ribbon/ string. Beware: you may get pranked back or have to deal with a very angry sibling.
-Make a Collage
I like to take an old picture, and collage clips from magazines, newspapers, and fliers onto them. Then I add drawings, glitter, ribbon, or buttons to make it more personalized. My sister and I love to collage together with the catalogs and ads we find around the house.
