This year I’ve decided to jump out of my comfort zone more. I don’t do this very often, so it’s definitely a change. I jumped off a 30 foot rock into the ocean in Oahu - something I wouldn’t have done before. Even though it took me a while to build up enough courage to jump, it was absolutely worth it. Most things I’m scared of doing end up being super amazing. For instance, I traveled to a foreign country for the first time ever, alone. I wouldn’t have done it, but I had a will to be more adventurous and travel. I now want to travel more, all over the world. Before this year I couldn’t have even imagined it. I have worked on being more of a leader than a follower. I’m more honest and open about things, not scared of having my own opinions. I can stand up for people, instead of just imagining I can.
Jump out of YOUR comfort zone. Either literally (like jumping off a rock) or figuratively. Don’t be a follower, be independent and make your own path. Choose to stand out instead of fitting in with everyone else. No matter how big or small your comfort zone is, don’t be afraid to step out of it every once in awhile. It’s not always as scary as it might seem.
